What’s On Offer:
2018 - 2019
Bringing Therapy into the Wild and Wildness into Therapy
Thursday 15 March 2018 - Tuesday 22 January 2019
This year long journey starts in Derbyshire with a 5 day residential in a semi rural environment gradually moving deeper into less tamed and remote places in Lancashire for two 4 day residentials and a final non residential weekend in Bristol in 2019, completing the cycle and bringing our wildness to the city. The group will be no more than 12 people and will be facilitated by experienced and skilled Wild Therapist practitioners Jayne Johnson (me!) & Stephen Tame. If you would like to expand your practice into unchartered environments and inner wildness, share in building a community of like minded people, find connections with other than human and explore new pathways then contact us to arrange for an informal chat to make sure this is the right course for you. No previous experience is needed and it is suitable for anyone working one to one or with groups.
The Meeting of Worlds
Exploring the ground of body psychotherapy and shamanism
Saturday 10 November - Sunday 11 November 2018
This 2 day non residential workshop will be running for the fourth time in as many years. This ever popular workshop was designed and created by Jayne Johnson & Allison Priestman as a way to bring body psychotherapy and shamanism into relationship. In Bristol, this year, we will be offering a safe and supportive environment and inviting participants to embody and experience the wilder and more animal aspects within us all, though Shamanic journeying, body movement, creative art and relationship. Day 2 brings us into contact with trance and transference to experience how altered states can enhance our work and relationships. This workshop is aimed at counsellors and psychotherapists who want to deepen their work in a more body orientated channel. It would also be suitable for bodywork practitioners, and anyone interested in shamanic practices.
Group Facilitation Training
Saturday 20 October 2018 - Sunday 6 January 2019
This training is 8 days non residential split over 3 weekends, (There is a separate option available to book accommodation at the venue). The 1st weekend is 2 days - Sat & Sun and the following 2 weekends are Fri/Sat/Sun, in Devon, at the beautiful Hearthside room. Stephen Tame and Jayne Johnson are excited to be offering this training for the 1st time in it's current form.
As a group we will be exploring how to set the conditions for group process; experience how groups organically orientate themselves; have opportunities to facilitate the group and receive feedback; understand group process facilitated by Jayne & Stephen; explore creative approaches to group work; develop your own style of facilitation; work with polarisation, chaos and conflict.
You will need a level of awareness of your own emotional and relational processes, and a capacity to tolerate a wide range of group relational interactions.
