  • Wild Earth Rhythms

Musical Journeys - Singing The Land

    Friday 25 August - Sunday 27 August 2017

This 2 day residential workshop will be co facilitated with Amy Boud, musician, drum circle facilitator, forest school facilitator and owner at Playful Nature We will be spending quiet time in the outdoors at the beautiful Gathering Fields, Lancashire, to tune into the music and rhythm of the earth, other living beings, and the land. Singing songs and playing with sounds and voice - exploring the wilder edges of our voices to find a freer untamed expression of sound. Experimenting with ‘singing the land’ – how we might express the voice of other beings with whom we share the earth. Gathering around the fire and using simple instruments and voice to express the essence of our experiences. Underpinning all this will be Shamanic practices which we hope will support us to become grounded in our bodies and connect with our deeper selves and the ‘musical being’ that lies within. Suitable for all levels of shamanic and musical experience. Cost £200 excluding camping @ £10 pppn and includes some meals. Places are limited and £50 deposit secures your place. For bookings contact Jayne:

  • Dancing With Darkness

    Preparing for the Winter Solstice

    Saturday 18 November - Sunday 19 November 2017

Come and share some nurturing and sustenance with us at the Energy Centre in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. As the Winter draws in and the light fades away I'll be gathering a small group for this 2 day non residential workshop. I will be offering shamanic practices, ritual, movement, drumming, singing, and nature connections to support us to relax, breathe and take space as the days shorten.  Perhaps you are curious to find out what lies beneath the surface of your psyche and would like to get to know the underground places? I'll be inviting you to share your dreams and fears – remembering how to dance with them. Making movements towards a healthier way of relating to the dark places inside and outside ourselves by exploring hibernation and nest making. We'll connect with our inner animals for guidance and remember what our bodies need during the Winter months. Cost £120 including refreshments. Please bring shared lunch. To book contact me.

Bringing Therapy into the Wild and Wildness into Therapy

    Thursday 15 March 2018 - Tuesday 22 January 2019

This year long journey starts in Derbyshire with a 5 day residential in a semi rural environment gradually moving deeper into less tamed and remote places in Lancashire for two 4 day residentials and a final non residential weekend in Bristol in 2019, completing the cycle and bringing our wildness to the city. The group will be no more than 12 people and will be facilitated by experienced and skilled Wild Therapist practitioners Jayne Johnson (me!) & Stephen Tame. If you would like to expand your practice into unchartered environments and inner wildness, share in building a community of like minded people, find connections with other than human and explore new pathways then contact us to arrange for an informal chat to make sure this is the right course for you. No previous experience is needed and it is suitable for anyone working one to one or with groups.
